Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since the day of dispatch, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. We also do not offer a refund / exchange on any item bought from us at events such as Comic Con. The returned item must be sent back in the same condition as we sent it and contain a copy of our returns form.

If an item is damaged upon return unless talked about prior you will not be eligible for any refund/ exchange and the item will be held with us and an email will be sent to you. From there if you wish for the item back you will be required to pay for the postage.

Do I have to email you before I return my item?:
We strongly advise you email us prior to returning an item so we can help you. So long as you have completed the form as shown here: Returns Form. Then you do not need to contact us prior to returning your item to us. However please read the below to make sure it's allowed to be returned or you may face charges.

Non-returnable items:
Gift cards
Downloadable software products
Event purchases
Sale Period Items
All Mystery products (tshirts, art prints or bundles etc)

How to Return your item:

- Please fill out the form accordingly and make sure it's present in your return

Any return without a complete form can not be processed properly. When we have received your return we will carry out the request needed (e.g refund/ exchange) aswell as refund you for the postage if it's a fault of our own. Upon carrying out any action Hard Times Clothing will contact you stating that we have dealt with your request.

- Any custom fee that comes up as a result of your return will be deducted from your refund/ the exchange will be sent back to you and you'll have to do it again. This will only happen if you mark the value of the return over 0 (more below)

When returning an item the 'cost' is £0 (in your own currency). This primarily applies for anyone returning an item from overseas (not UK). This is important, as we have not bought the item off of you. If you don't mark it down as 0 it's possible we will get asked to pay custom fees. We will not pay custom fees on our own property so the item will return to you or come out of your refund. Save yourself the hastle, don't add 'cost' to the return. Even if YOU paid $50 for it, the return will be $0 as again we have not paid for the return.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Items bought in a sale period will not be eligible for a refund/ exchange. A sale period is defined by a site wide sale that has been given a name. E.G. Black Friday, Clearance Sale, Summer Slasher etc. This title will be displayed on the front page at the time of purchase. It will also have a beginning and end date displayed on the site / social media. Items bought during this time unless full price will NOT be eligible for a refund/ exchange. 

If an item is simply reduced outside of a sale period you will be eligible for a refund/ return.

Pre-order items are eligible for refund/return unless they're bought in a sale period.

We are perfectly aware that sometimes it's hard to guess your size over the internet. This is not a problem. We're happy to accept exchanges on all garments. Just fill out the form here Returns Form and return this to us. You will also be required to pay an additional postage fee:
- UK (£6.00)
- International returns please contact us via support@hardtimesclothing as we will need to work it out. (whatever you paid on your order normally unless you are not sending back the whole order)

These fee's are not exempt in our 'Free Shipping' Deal. If you were eligible for Free Shipping on the initial order this doesn't make you exempt for exchange charges. All Exchange charges should be sent via paypal to:

If an order is eligible for refund you will be refunded for the PRODUCT PRICE ONLY. Postage is not refundable. 

Damaged Items:
Any damaged item returned to us due to a fault of your own will not be eligible to a exchange/ refund. If your product is damaged/ faulty upon arrival we must know within 2 days of receiving the product or we will not accept it back. All products are quality control tested and checked before being dispatched. It's rare that one slips past us. If you have washed your item and not followed our Washing Instructions and it's clear upon arrival your item will not be eligible for a refund / exchange and if you wish the product to be returned we will require a small fee (Please do not send items damaged in the wash, if you have damaged our product in any way we are not held responsible).

Non collected Items
If an item isn't collected from the post office upon dispatch it's returned to us after 2 weeks. Once the item is back with us we will let you know that it wasn't picked up and returned to us, with this you will need to pay postage again for the item if you wish us to send it out or, you can get a refund minus postage cost. If you get 'free shipping' with your order, this doesn't protect you from the charges.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund even if you were eligible for 'Free Shipping'. (e.g. if you order an item eligible for free shipping and refund the entity for UK customers all but £6 will be refunded to you to cover the initial postage charges on our end, we're a small company and the service costs us regardless)

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Make sure the value of the item you're returning is £0 (in your own currency). Failure to do this may result in charges. Please read above "MARK COST AT 0"
